Hearing blasts drug manufacturers' emphasis on R&D for me too drugs

Abstract:

Congressional criticism of drug manufacturers for using 84% of their research and development funds for the production of “me-too” drugs that add little or no benefit to existing drug therapies is discussed. The increased cost of prescription drugs is also discussed.
