Prescription drug prices soar after years of moderate increases

Abstract:

A 37% increase in prescription drug prices during 1980 to 1984, the cost factors which the pharmaceutical industry has identified as contributing to the increase and the effects of the introduction of generic drugs on prescription drug prices were discussed.
