Abstract:
The requirements of Section 340B of the Public Health Service Act that allow hospital pharmacies to acquire prescription drugs for indigent or uninsured outpatients at deep discounts from the manufacturers are discussed, and the interactions between pharmacies, manufacturers, and government agencies under these regulations are described.
