Do Dear Health Care Professional letters make a difference?
Hospital Pharmacy 2001; 36:928

Abstract:

The lack of effectiveness of Dear Health Care Professional letters in changing the prescribing habits of clinicians to prevent adverse drug effects and drug interactions and the need for other methods to deliver safety-related drug information, such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) MEDWatch World Wide Web site (http://www.fda.gov/medwatch/), are discussed.
