Abstract:

The “Health Care Industry Market Update”’ by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is a summary of CMS’s review of research and analyzes from major investment firms, this article discusses the use of data from this review for regulatory reforms with respect to prescription drugs. The article divides the pharmaceutical industry into 3 components: brand-name pharmaceutical producers, generic pharmaceutical producers, and biotechnology companies.
