Abstract:

This article discusses deficiencies observed during inspection of the Irish pharmaceutical industry. The most frequently observed deficiencies include dispensing of non-compliant controlled drug (CD) prescriptions, improper record keeping, CD reconciliation problems, failure to endorse dispensed prescriptions, failure to endorse dispensed CD prescriptions, and others.
