Drug advertising helps patients

Abstract:

This article discusses the benefits of direct to consumer advertising, such as the increased patient’s awareness of possible treatment options, and the encouragement of discussions between doctors and their patients. Consumer ads have helped solve the under-diagnosis and under-treatment of disease and the FDA’s strict regulations regarding pharmaceutical advertising ensures the accuracy of all published drug information.
