Huston P, Moyer D.
Pharmaceutical company trials and the integrity of medical research
Lancet 1996; 347:1628-1629

Abstract:

The authors did not “pick on” risperidone. There is not strong empirical evidence for the superiority of risperidone over older drugs. The request for unpublished data was not misrepresented in the original paper. These points aside, the authors applaud Janssen’s largely constructive response to their paper.

You are going to have many difficulties. The smokers will not like your message. The tobacco interests will be vigorously opposed. The media and the government will be loath to support these findings. But you have one factor in your favour. What you have going for you is that you are right.
