MAKERS of drugs used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder have been ordered to strengthen risk warnings after some child users suffered heart problems and depression.

The Senate has heard that the Therapeutic Goods Administration received more than 200 complaints about medications including Ritalin, Strattera and dexamphetamine.
