*Speakers: biographical notes *
Dennis Bastas* was appointed CEO and Managing Director of Generpharm
Australasia in 2003 and was the founding force behind the initial
strategy and creation of the company. He has extensive senior management
experience in business development, retail services and supply chain
management.

*Grahame Beechroft *is a community pharmacist, with an interest in three
pharmacies in Noble Park, Springvale and Mountain Gate. He has been
qualified since 1976 and has owned small and large pharmacies in both
the country and suburban Melbourne. He has served as Chairman of
Guardian Pharmacies, consults to the wider health industry and is a
member of the Industry Advisory Panel for Genepharm Australasia. He is a
Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of
the Australian College of Pharmacy Practice and Management. He was
appointed to the Pharmacy Board of Victoria in July 2005.

*Charles O’Sullivan *is Pricing and Medical Affairs Manager at Mayne
Pharma, which distributes its products in more than 65 countries. Mayne
Pharma has established strong commercial footholds especially in Europe
and Asia Pacific. In North America, Mayne Pharma is the second largest
supplier of generic, injectable oncology medicines./

/*Tom Faunce *is Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University
Medical School and Project Director, Globalisation and Health Centre for
Governance of Knowledge and Development. He is an expert on the US Free
Trade Agreement and was recently invited to South Korea to provide
policy advice to the South Korean generics industry.

*Pasquale Sgro *is Professor of Economics at the Deakin Business School
and Director of its Master of International Business program. He is
currently researching global developments in the pharmaceutical sector.

Hans Lofgren is Senior Lecturer in Politics and Director of Deakin
University’s postgraduate Public Policy and Governance program. He has
published widely on Australian pharmaceutical policy and has researched
pharma industry developments in India during three recent visits to that
country.
