Abstract:
(Limited to parts of article dealing with promotion.) The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations adopted its Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices in 1981 in an attempt to head off the imposition of an international code similar to the one for infant formula. The methods of promotion in developing countries are often more ruthless and less acceptable than in developed countries.
