Funds that can foster suspicion
New Scientist 1985 Jun 13; 106:30

Abstract:

At the annual meeting of the Medical Journalists Association one of the members proposed that the association should put an end to its increasing dependence upon the patronage of the pharmaceutical industry. Three companies contribute about £4000 per year for prizes and another company funds an annual MJA weekend symposium. The motion was defeated by a few votes.
