Alliance for Human Research Protection
Eli Lilly's new Prozac Fact Sheet
Alliance for Human Research Protection 2005 Aug 4
http://www.ahrp.org/risks/ProzacKids1203.php

Abstract:

Eli Lilly’s new Prozac Fact Sheet sent to UK physicians—but not to US physicians—states that Prozac is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN for any indication

Keywords:
Prozac children Eli Lilly

Notes:

Ralph Faggotter’s Comments: AHRP (Alliance for Human Research Protection) has made the interesting observation that Eli Lily’s prescribing information for Prozac states “For oral administration to adults only” in the UK but not in the USA.
Why the difference? Does this mean that it is safe to give Prozac to American children but not to British children? Or that British regulators are more cautious than American regulators?
