David Beckham, Sean Connery and Keanu Reeves have had their names put to an illegal use in a sex drug ad broadcast across TV stations around China.

All the three A-listers are shown to make it appear as if they are promoting China-made Viagra-style pills called USA Selikon with dubbed voices.

Video clipping of Beckham and his wife Victoria is used to seemingly reveal the secret weapon that keeps the soccer ace in shape, reports the Couriermail.

In the 30-second footage, the footballer appears to say “Want to know how I can keep being strong and running on the football field? USA Selikon capsules help me a lot. It’’s also the secret weapon with which I can satisfy Victoria.”

Similarly, scenes from an Indiana Jones movie show Connery with a dubbed voice saying: “I turned 70 this year. But with the help of USA Selikon capsules, I was praised by Barbara that I”m still THE James Bond, forever 25.”

Keanu Reeves is also seen during an interview in which he appears to say: “The feelings after my kidneys got washed by USA Selikon capsules are surprising. And my girlfriends were also surprised.”

A sales manager for the manufacturer told Saturday’’s South China Morning Post that the endorsements had seen the approval stamp from authorities and broadcast across China.

Far too large a section of the treatment of disease is to-day controlled by the big manufacturing pharmacists, who have enslaved us in a plausible pseudo-science...
The blind faith which some men have in medicines illustrates too often the greatest of all human capacities - the capacity for self deception...
Some one will say, Is this all your science has to tell us? Is this the outcome of decades of good clinical work, of patient study of the disease, of anxious trial in such good faith of so many drugs? Give us back the childlike trust of the fathers in antimony and in the lancet rather than this cold nihilism. Not at all! Let us accept the truth, however unpleasant it may be, and with the death rate staring us in the face, let us not be deceived with vain fancies...
we need a stern, iconoclastic spirit which leads, not to nihilism, but to an active skepticism - not the passive skepticism, born of despair, but the active skepticism born of a knowledge that recognizes its limitations and knows full well that only in this attitude of mind can true progress be made.
- William Osler 1909
