Antihypertensive medications used by specialist physicians and factors that influence the prescription

Abstract:
The purpose of this work was to know the antihypertensive agents most used and that they have given better results to the specialist physicians dealers of the arterial hypertension (ATH), (internists, cardiologists and nephrologists) as well as the factors that influence in the prescription (purchasing power of the patients, trust they give to the alternatives that exist in the market: innovators products, copies with brand commercial and generic brands). It was used as source of gathering of data the direct survey to obtain reliable results. 82% of the specialist physicians interviewed manifested that the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) are the antihypertensive agents that have given better results in the treatment of the ATH, 59% prefers the product of the innovative laboratory, 41% remaining prescribes as much the innovative product as the copies with commercial brand. 77% of those interviewed reject generics medications. The purchasing power is a decisive factor in the moment of the prescription.
