Abstract:
A discussion of the USA Food and Drug Administration (FDA) imposed regulations on drug promotion and kickbacks by the pharmaceutical industry and industry sponsored continuing medical education is provided; results of a previously published study commissioned by the Department of Health and Human Services examining the educational worth of pharmaceutical advertisements are also provided.
