Abstract:
A comprehensive analysis of business and marketing issues facing any company considering further investment in Korean over-the-counter drugs is presented. The effects of the present change from a dispensing to a prescribing market, the increasingly restrictive advertising environment, the cost of pharmacy promotion, the impact of national health insurance on pharmacy sales, and the attitudes of Korean versus foreign companies toward being in the pharmacy market are discussed.
