Abstract:

The 200 most frequently dispensed prescriptions, 30 most frequently prescribed generic drugs, and companies marketing the top 200 drugs in 1992 are listed and compared with those in 1991. It was noted that for 1992, total prescription volume showed a slight increase over 1991, with new prescriptions increasing by 1.4% and refills increasing by 1.2%.
