Do we pay too much for prescriptions?
Consum Rep 1993 Oct; 668-669
Abstract:
Results from an investigation conducted to determine why prescription drug prices are so high, to examine possible ways to lower prices, and to learn what consumers can safely do to cut their own drug bills are discussed, including whether drug profits are too high for pharmaceutical manufacturers and the debate as to whether these high profits are necessary to attract the capital needed to do research and development on new drugs.
