Abstract:

A report from the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, which demonstrated that the pharmaceutical industry’s annual increases in prescription drug costs exceeded the general inflation rate, is summarized, and the potential impact of these increases on geriatric patients is briefly discussed.
