Bungyo in Japan.
Am J Hosp Pharm 1994 Aug 1; 51:(15):1965
Abstract:
The dispensing of drugs directly by physicians and hospital pharmacies, rather than through a community pharmacist, in Japan is described, and the promotion of the concept of bungyo (separation of prescribing and dispensing functions for prescription drugs) is discussed; changes in government regulations designed to promote this concept and the potential impact on pharmaceutical industry pricing and purchasers’ practices were included.
