Abstract:
The National Consumer League’s consumer perspective of patients is discussed, including demographic trends in the United States, the pharmaceutical industry’s need to recognize that over-the-counter and prescription drugs are interchangeable to the consumer, the effects of the implementation of OBRA 90, and patient privacy in a computer environment.
