Critique of the GAO report on differences in prices for prescription drugs between Canada and the United States
Journal of Research in Pharmaceutical Economics 1998 Mar; 6:(1):77-91

Abstract:

An analysis of the U.S. General Accounting Office’s (GAO) report entitled Prescription Drugs: Companies Typically Charge More in the United States Than in Canada, including possible misinterpretation of the results, biases by the GAO that overstate the differences between U.S. and Canadian drug prices, and issues related to the statistical analysis, is presented.
