Abstract:

The controversy generated by a media advertising campaign, which features a grandmother figure named Flo, that opposes President Clinton’s proposed Medicare prescription drug benefit is discussed; a study of prescription drug costs in the United States to be conducted by the Department of Health and Human Services is briefly described.
