Abstract:
The study by Bardelay is a small sample and it is questionable whether it is representative of doctor-detailer interactions. The educational level of sales representatives has been improved in order to meet the needs expressed by health care professionals. The Syndicat National de l’Industrie Pharmaceutique follows the revised code from the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations and promotes ethical behaviour in every aspect of relations between the pharmaceutical industry and health care professionals. The agreement between the French government and SNIP on drug pricing also includes a commitment to ensure the rational use of drugs.
