Advertising in medical journals
Canadian Medical Association Journal 1994; 151:7

Abstract:

Like all Canadian medical journals, the Canadian Medical Association Journal relies on the Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board to prescreen ads. The CMAJ is responsible only for their appropriate placement. Pharmaceutical companies have no information about what articles will be published. No advertising is placed in the middle of a scientific article.
