Abstract:
In November 1993 a meeting was held in Geneva to discuss approaches and mechanisms to improve the worldwide implementation of the World Health Organization’s Ethical Criteria for Medicinal Drug Promotion. The recommendations from this meeting are far reaching and relate particularly to education and communication; the interface between promotion and regulation; and the development of national policies and international collaboration.
