Government finds industry promotion code works well in Australia

Abstract:
In Australia, a two year review of pharmaceutical promotion practices support the conclusion that self-regulation is appropriate for the pharmaceutical industry. Conducted by the Trade Practices Commission, the review found “little specific evidence†of unethical promotion practices in Australia where an industry code operates in addition to existing law.
