Consumer advertising found to pack prescribing punch

Abstract:

Of 3600 physicians surveyed, 54% reported that patients are now talking to them about drugs that are advertised directly to the consumer. 84% of doctors said that they would consider a patient’s request for a drug and 16% said they are very likely to prescribe the drug the patient wants. 56% of doctors do not like DTCA.
