Abstract:

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education makes a clear distinction between continuing medical education and promotion and requires full disclosure by speakers about their relationships with industry. The author disagrees with Kessler if he proposes to ban anecdotal evidence and unsupported opinions in CME events.
