The relationship between physicians in training and pharmaceutical companies: A time for guidelines?
Archives of Internal Medicine 1992; 152:920-921

Abstract:

Resident physicians’ relationship with pharmaceutical companies are commonplace in postgraduate training centres. This relationship has both benefits and a darker side-the potential intrusion of interested third parties between physicians and patients. A survey found that internal medicine residency programs appear to be overly dependent on companies for financial support.
