Fink E, Antonelli MA.
Pharmaceutical ads in Annals
Annals of Internal Medicine 1992; 116:958

Abstract:

A recent issue of the Annals had 30% of its space dedicated to advertisements. The paper on these advertisements is not recyclable in the areas where the authors live. Also the authors object to the use of dramatically coloured, thick-stock, expensive looking ads at a time of uncontrolled medical costs.
