Brodsky JF.
Pharmaceutical promotions.
N Engl J Med 1992 Dec 3; 327:(23):1687

Abstract:

The author proposes that legislation limit drug advertising to purely informational announcements in a format similar to package inserts. Sales representatives should be banned from health care facilities and physicians should not be allowed to accept any kind of gifts. Such measures would improve patient care and only stop the proliferation of “me-too” drugs.
