Drug promotion and scientific exchange.
N Engl J Med 1992 Jan 9; 326:(2):133

Abstract:

The author has been working with the pharmaceutical for over 20 years and has always had the freedom to organize symposiums, monographs and round-table discussions as he saw fit. Use of pharmaceutical company money in this manner is much better than spending it on mass mailings.
