Abstract:

Drug information compiled and disseminated by the pharmaceutical industry is essential: 1) for the approval and constant surveillance of drugs by the relevant government bodies; 2) to enable the physician to make intelligent and informed use of drugs for prophylaxis and treatment; 3) to make the consumer aware of the nature, benefits and risks of the drugs administered.
