“Disinformation” from pharmaceutical company representatives
Canadian Medical Association Journal 1990; 142:1178
Abstract:
In the opinion of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Canada the sales representative that Dr. Gordon referred to was not obliged to compare her company’s product with a generic. Research-based companies bring valuable medical information to doctors which generic companies do not. This difference merits a price difference in the products.
