Publication type: Journal Article

Barton SB, Walley T.
Bayer promotional publications misleading about effect of ciprofloxacin on hospital admissions.
Lancet 1995 Oct 21; 346:(8982):1102

Keywords:
*letter to the editor Canada Bayer information from companies PROMOTION DISGUISED: PHYSICIAN EDUCATION MATERIAL AND GUIDELINES

Notes:

Bayer is distributing a video claiming that the use of ciprofloxacin was responsible for reduced hospital admissions for bronchitis and pyelonephritis. The information on which the videotape is based has only been presented in abstract form and the analysis seems seriously flawed.
