Consumer attitudes towards the rising costs of prescription drugs and the pharmaceutical industry’s response as to the validity of their complaints of high drug prices are described, including a summary of retail prescription prices in the United States and possible reasons why prescription drug prices in the United States are much higher than in many other countries.
