Who's going to pick up FDA's user fee tab?
Managed Healthcare 1997 Apr; 7:17

Abstract:

A discussion of budget deficits that will be experienced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as funds collected from drug manufacturers fall short of expectations, is presented; it is noted that the Prescription Drug User Fee Act of 1992, a plan for the FDA to charge fees to pharmaceutical companies for review of their new drug applications, is up for reauthorization.
