Abstract:
Successful initiatives by Glaxo Wellcome in Nigeria are described and industry structure in Nigeria is discussed with reference to the bargaining power of major industry players such as customers—doctors, pharmacists, and patients—and suppliers, the pharmaceutical companies; how Glaxo Wellcome’s focused business strategy in Nigeria formed a critical source of sustainable competitive advantage for the company’s prescription medicines business is also discussed.
