Designing and implementing a public relations campaign for pharmacists
ASHP Annual Meeting 1999 Jun; 56:

Abstract:

An ASHP affiliated state chapter’s strategy to plan, promote and implement a grassroots public relations campaign to raise awareness among consumers about the role and value of health system pharmacists is described. Working closely with partners within the pharmaceutical industry and local organizations, a multi-tiered marketing strategy has been initiated. Promotional strategies include using newspapers, television, radio and local movie theaters to advertise as well as volunteers presenting at high school career days. The program is an integral part of ASHP’s national consumer outreach program and was initiated in October during national Talk About Prescriptions month.
