Abstract:

The results of a survey of 2000 pharmacists’ attitudes toward various matters of broad professional concern are presented; subjects included ethics, pharmaceutical care, licensure, direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription drugs, assisted suicide, alternative medicine, medical cannabis (marijuana), selling cigarettes, patients’ rights, controversial drugs, the new millennium, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
