Abstract:

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) policy changes concerning direct to consumer prescription drug advertising regardless of the release of a study issued by the National Institute for Health Care Management foundation linking the rise in drug advertising to increased spending on prescription drugs, including First Amendment issues and federal and state court rulings, are presented.
