Servier resists but MaLAM persists!
MaLAM Australian News 1997 May-Jun; 5:(5-6):2
Abstract:
Servier is not a member of the Australian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association and refused to let MaLAM’s complaint be heard by the APMA. MaLAM then sent a complaint to the Therapeutic Goods Administration but has not heard back for almost a year. Although Servier’s ads were found to be in violation of the United Kingdom Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority similar ads are still running in British journals 6 months later. Servier’s continuing misleading promotion illustrates the multiple failures involved in the regulation of promotion.
