Abstract:

The Code of Marketing Practices of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Canada commits the industry to ensure that its medicines are supported by comprehensive technical and informational services and to use candour in dealing with public health officials, health care professionals and the general public. To these ends, the industry has been sponsoring continuing medical education programs and is also looking at ways of better informing the public about medications.
