Abstract:
In Pakistan Rhone-Poulenc Rorer is advertising Flagyl (metronidazole) for the treatment of all cases of diarrhea in case the diarrhea is caused by either amebiasis and giardiasis. The scientific literature suggests that these organisms are not frequent causes of diarrhea in young children.
