Essential Drugs Monitor 1995; (20):16
Abstract:
The Office of the Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has issued a special “fraud alertâ€. The alert letter was sent to health care providers and patients warning them of “aggressive†marketing by companies which may be illegal under Medicaid statutes. Three specific cases were cited where marketing activities may have violated the criminal antikickback statutes governing Medicaid.
