1994

Abstract:

This report presents statistics on the first 6 months of the consumer information campaign launched by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Canada entitled “Knowledge is the best medicine.” The kit contains a medication record for people plus three booklets dealing with questions people should ask their physician or pharmacist about the medications they are taking, tips on how to use medicines safely and effectively and how a positive lifestyle can contribute to good health. After 6 months there were almost 45000 calls to a toll free number.
