Ethics case study: should drug makers support continuing medical education
American College of Physicians Observer 1993; 13:(6):1,12-13
Abstract:
Arguments are presented against and in favour of drug company supported continuing medical education. The expense of such programs may increase the cost of drugs and support by companies may influence the content of programs. On-the-other hand, refusing funding could place the medical staff at hospitals at a disadvantage since they would be deprived of a source of CME and their patients would lose out.
