Two surveys of pharmaceutical promotion and advertising

Abstract:

A pilot study was done to assess general practitioners’ exposure to pharmaceutical advertising. A second survey assesed the information content of journal advertisements in two New Zealand journals. Advertisements did not comply with the voluntary code of the Researched Medicines Industry or the Medicines Regulation in many respects.
